InnovationLab GmbH: German Cancer Research Center Expands Its Shareholder Base
At yesterday’s meeting of the Board of Trustees of the German Cancer Research Center (DKFZ), the board decided to become the fifth shareholder of InnovationLab GmbH (iL). In addition to BASF SE and HEIDELBERG (Heidelberger Druckmaschinen AG), the Karlsruhe Institute of Technology (KIT) and the Ruprecht-Karls University of Heidelberg are also shareholders.

Next Thursday, March 12, 2026, InnovationLab GmbH will host the exclusive networking event GENESIS 26 – The LIFE SCIENCE TECH DAY, featuring leading scientists and entrepreneurs from the biotechnology sector .
For the approximately one hundred participants, the sold-out event at the Alte Hallenbad in Heidelberg's Bergheim district will focus on one question for a whole day: How can disease processes be simulated more realistically and active ingredients be tested more quickly, safely, and reproducibly?

Since early June, Dr. Reza Taale has been the new Cluster Manager at InnovationLab. As part of the technology transfer offering, he serves as the contact person for academic and industrial partners, particularly in the fields of Life Science Technologies and Clean Tech.

New Furniture Arrives
iL's freshly renovated laboratory spaces are becoming increasingly vibrant. Following the completion of the extensive renovation work, custom-fit furniture is being installed. Grittmann, a company based in Eppelheim, manufactured the bespoke furniture.
