GENESIS 26: Today's ideas for tomorrow's life sciences!
Where research meets application: On March 12 (Thursday, 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.), InnovationLab invites all stakeholders from science, industry, and start-ups who not only want to rethink the future of medical research but also want to translate it into tangible projects to attend the GENESIS 26The LIFE SCIENCE TECH DAY forum. For one day, keynote speeches and panel discussions will focus on innovations that accelerate the transfer from the laboratory to practical application – from new platform technologies to scalable business models.
What topics will be in focus?
Three sessions will focus on the following topics: connecting elements for automated biofabrication, living tissue sensor technology, and image analysis based on artificial intelligence (AI). All three are indispensable key technologies on the path to scalable, integrated platforms in drug discovery and disease modeling. The focus is on current trends in the life and engineering sciences, but also on future trends in biotechnology, biomedicine, medicine, and medtech. In other words: today's ideas for tomorrow's life sciences!

Who is the event aimed at?
The event is aimed equally at researchers from the life sciences and related fields of technology, experts from industry—particularly from the areas of innovation, research and development, and business development—start-ups and founding teams, and students from the field of life sciences. In other words, it is aimed at anyone involved in technology transfer, applied research, and its implementation in viable business models.
What distinguishes GENESIS 26 from traditional specialist conferences?
The name GENESIS 26 says it all: it's about putting knowledge into practice and directly translating it into forward-looking projects through exchange. In addition to lectures and presentations, there is a strong focus on networking, discussions, and informal, interdisciplinary conversations. The aim is to bring together people who can benefit from each other thanks to their different skills.

What added value does the event offer start-ups?
GENESIS 26 offers start-ups in particular direct access to industry partners and research institutions. Founding teams and start-ups can thus ensure visibility for their own technologies and ideas and promote exchange with potential cooperation and financing partners. Above all, however, they gain sound insights into real needs from industry and application. GENESIS 26 opens doors.
What opportunities are there for networking?
The entire day is orchestrated in such a way that there is always sufficient space and time for discussions after the keynote speeches and lightning talks. And the gravitational pull of the event can in turn lead to lasting collaborations on site or even afterwards.
Why is it worth participating?
GENESIS 26 not only talks about innovation, but also brings it to life – through people, projects, and ideas that actively shape the life science ecosystem. Heidelberg and the wider Rhine-Neckar metropolitan region are exactly the right place to create even better conditions for accelerated drug development and the best possible patient care.
