His main focus is on life science technologies. Reza Taale wants to tackle the challenges at the overlapping point of life sciences and technology with conviction: "Building a reliable bridge between biology, materials science, medicine, computer science and engineering requires an advanced infrastructure and knowledgeable people with a problem-solving mindset. The iL is well equipped to meet these requirements and offers significant potential in this area." He will be the contact person for the scientific community, in particular the Cluster of Excellence "3DMM2O", but also for university hospitals, start-ups, industrial partners and the non-profit cluster platform BioRN in Heidelberg, one of the strongest biotech and life science hubs in Germany, thanks to his diverse expertise.
"Reza is convincing because of his professional background. But more importantly, he wins people over and takes them with him. At iL, we accelerate the transfer of technology between our partners. And that happens when the exchange between people works," says Managing Director Dr. Michael Kröger.
In addition, Reza Taale will be responsible for promoting and establishing clean tech technology transfer as another central pillar of iL. In connection with the planned establishment of an electrolysis pilot factory in Heidelberg, he is the contact person and coordinator for interested companies that want to develop innovative technologies and contribute to the decarbonization of domestic industry through the manufacture of electrolysers and the production of green hydrogen. The electrolysis pilot factory project is supported by the KIT and operated, incubated and accelerated by our InnovationLab.
