Quantum X bio: Regular exchange of experience
The Quantum X bio from Nanoscribe has been undergoing testing in our iL cleanroom for a good six months. The "Kickoff User Meeting" has now taken place. Dr. Simon Binder, who played a key role in the initial trials of the Nanoscribe system and developed the access concept during his time at the Karlsruhe Institute of Technology (KIT), was a guest. He recently took over the management of his own scientific working group at the University of Freiburg and works at the BrainLinks-BrainTools center there.

Such a Quantum-X user meeting will now take place every three months, either in person or in a hybrid format. The main aim is for users who work with 3D printers from NanoScribe to regularly share their experiences. The operation of the Quantum X bio, which is characterized by its lightning-fast precision, sensitive applications in the biotech sector and its flexible use of biocompatible materials, is also to be continuously improved and ultimately the efficiency of use increased. These meetings also offer the opportunity to refine and optimize the usage protocol that has been in place since the start of the test phase.
Expanding networking opportunities
"These regular meetings keep users connected and encourage collaboration. There are also plans to invite external users from other institutes to expand the networking opportunities and further improve the user experience," says Dr. Reza Taale, Cluster Manager at iL. At the kick-off meeting, Taale encouraged users to take advantage of the opportunities for networking and interdisciplinary exchange in Heidelberg.
The company Nanoscribe was represented at the start of the meeting series by Dr. Mina Yesilyurt, Sales Representative of the market leader for 3D printing in the nano and micrometer range from Eggenstein-Leopoldshafen. Mina Yesilyurt gave an interesting presentation on the potential applications of Quantum X bio in various scientific and technological fields.

At the moment: 13 users from six different groups
The Quantum-X user group currently has 13 users from six different groups at Heidelberg University and KIT, including students, PhD students and postdocs from the Institute for Molecular Systems Engineering and Advanced Materials (IMSEAM), the Max Planck Institute for Medical Research (both in Heidelberg), the Institute for Nanotechnology (INT) and the Light Technology Institute (LTI), both located at KIT in Karlsruhe.
It is possible for research and industry partners to convince themselves of the application possibilities of Quantum X bio. The contact person is Dr. Reza Taale, e-mail: reza.taale@innovationlab.de - there are still places available in the user group.
