InnovationLab GmbH is an established platform for research, development, and technology transfer in the fields of Life Science Technologies, Clean Tech, and Printing Technologies. Our robust network for co-innovation serves as a knowledge hub for our clients and partners.
Together with our shareholders, the two globally leading corporations HEIDELBERGER Druckmaschinen and BASF, as well as the two top universities Karlsruhe Institute of Technology (KIT) and Ruprecht Karls University of Heidelberg, we have had a wealth of expertise and contacts at our disposal since our foundation in 2008.

Life Science Technologies
This area focuses on significant breakthroughs: Life sciences encompass biology, medicine, biomedicine, chemistry, biochemistry, pharmacy, agriculture, and food research. We consider it our mission to establish innovative technologies for cancer combat and preventive healthcare.
Clean Tech
The transition from fossil fuels to renewable energies presents both an obligation and a challenge. The energy transformation towards climate neutrality is imperative. For us, the production of green hydrogen is essential. Therefore, we aim to establish a pilot factory for electrolyzers at our Heidelberg site.
Printing Technologies
We possess demonstrated expertise in the field of printed electronics. We have perfected the flexibility-based roll-to-roll process. Our extensive infrastructure ensures top quality for both clients and partners. With the establishment of our spin-off FLEXOO, we have strategically repositioned ourselves in 2024.
