The target group for exciting insights into projects and topics relating to the versatile energy source hydrogen is the general public. Pupils, students, tradespeople and other specialist groups in particular will be able to interact with experts. Within walking distance of Heidelberg's main railway station, iL would like to show interested parties what the company, which was founded in 2008/2009, can contribute to accelerating the industrialization of electrolyser production together with its shareholders and partners, in particular the Karlsruhe Institute of Technology (KIT). A pilot factory is planned in the university city, which will deliver electrolysers from the production line in the near future.
The declared aim next Monday is to give participants an understanding of the various electrolysis processes with all their advantages and disadvantages. The iL program includes 45-minute group tours and an interactive presentation of the pilot plant in the plenary session, also lasting 45 minutes.
The key question to be answered is literally pressing: How can the industrial production of electrolysers be realized in the necessary haste with the existing technological expertise? Which processes, products and components are required? Which system innovations are indispensable? Which network of highly qualified partners needs to be brought together as a bridge builder and incubator along the entire value chain in an ecosystem?
