More speed in the energy transition
On Friday, 16 September 2022, Dr. Franziska Brantner, Member of the German Bundestag, and Theresia Bauer, Member of the State Parliament, visited the research and development platform InnovationLab GmbH in Heidelberg to discuss new industrial technologies for accelerating the energy transition and engineering in life sciences together with the shareholders of InnovationLab, BASF, HEIDELBERG, SAP, KIT and Heidelberg University.
In addition to printed electronics, InnovationLab plans to focus on these two areas in the future in order to make an even greater contribution to solving pressing issues of the future.
In view of the current situation, "iL intends to use the successful innovation model in the two areas of energy, particularly in the production of green hydrogen, and engineering in life sciences in the future, as these areas are in acute need of solutions and are highly relevant to society," says Dr. Michael Kröger, Managing Director of InnovationLab GmbH.
Franziska Brantner, Parliamentary State Secretary at the Ministry of Economic Affairs and Climate Protection, was visibly enthusiastic after her first visit to the Heidelberg innovationLab: "Initiatives such as the InnovationLab are indispensable for tackling the major crises of our time".
