GENESIS 26 – The LIFE SCIENCE TECH DAY: The name says it all
Heidelberg, March 5, 2026Next Thursday, March 12, 2026, InnovationLab GmbH will host GENESIS 26 – The LIFE SCIENCE TECH DAY, an exclusive networking event featuring leading scientists and entrepreneurs from the field of biotechnology.
For the approximately one hundred participants, the sold-out event at the Alte Hallenbad in Heidelberg's Bergheim district will focus on one question for a whole day: How can disease processes be simulated more realistically and active ingredients be tested more quickly, safely, and reproducibly?
"At our forum, we don't just want to present innovative answers to this question, we want to work together to find new answers. Developing new tools in the fight against cancer is our main focus. To this end, we bring researchers and companies together so that they can rethink the future beyond the beaten track," says Dr. Michael Kröger, Managing Director of InnovationLab.
In a welcoming address, Heidelberg's mayor, Professor Dr. Eckart Würzner, emphasizes the outstanding work of InnovationLab GmbH: "With InnovationLab, Heidelberg has a unique platform in the life sciences and biotech cluster. It brings together excellent research, international industry partners, and courageous start-ups along the entire value chain – from the initial idea to market-ready applications. The fact that BASF, HEIDELBERG, the Karlsruhe Institute of Technology, and Heidelberg University, all global leaders in their fields, are sharing responsibility demonstrates the particular strength of our location. InnovationLab stands for cooperative research, successful technology transfer, and the promotion of young talent – right in the heart of our university city of Heidelberg. GENESIS 26 underscores how innovative and forward-looking Heidelberg is as a center of science and business."
The main topics of the day are:
• Biofabrication & integrated microphysiological systems • Bioelectronics & sensor technology for living tissue • Imaging, automation & AI
