Michaela Sauer: "Take the human factor into account"
Michaela Sauer is the longest-serving employee at the InnovationLab. The 45-year-old has been working at Speyerer Straße since 2009, before which she spent several years at the software company SAP in Walldorf. Michaela is our Head of Internal Operations & Human Resources. Michaela knows iL "with all its facets" inside out. And that's why it makes sense to launch the new "This is our team" campaign with her as an integrative personality.

Who are You are?
I'm Michaela, soon to be 45 years old, live with my family in Heidelberg (and I love it), enjoy cycling and love everything green and water. There is no better feeling. Swings perhaps ...
What does you with your work at the InnovationLab most most fun?
That there is always something new to do and learn - so it never gets boring. I've already been able to get to know a number of departments and therefore have no reservations about new topics. In addition, my colleagues are all very nice and there are no internal disputes. The flexible working hours allow me to balance my private and professional life.

How explain you then someone non-specialist your activity in understandable language?
I am responsible for HR issues and internal processes at iL. It is important to me to promote a good working atmosphere and mutual helpfulness. I also make sure that processes are not only thought through from a process perspective, but that the human factor is always taken into account.
Which skills/core competencies are required required?
Analytical thinking, empathy and goal-oriented, structured work.
Are are there personal goals, that you in near future in the near future?
To accompany my son well when he starts school.
What do you in your free time passionately with pleasure - what are are you?
Spending time with my son. Playground, arts and crafts, decorating, playing games and reading. I like meeting up with friends, doing Pilates and being out in nature.

The camera. I think it's amazing that you can capture moments to relive special memories.
