CLEAN TECH INNOVATION DAY
The "Clean Tech Innovation Day" will be held as an all-day symposium at the Heidelberg Congress Center (HCC) on November 11, 2024, organized by InnovationLab GmbH to appeal to a broad audience of universities, research institutions, companies and start-ups.
The aim of the event is to network partners who share an interest in who share an interest in innovation and the industrialization of clean tech.
To the event
What can you expect as a participant?
The event will offer around 100 participants a series of keynote presentations, specialist lectures and discussion panels on the topics of hydrogen technologies, production and use.
The various sessions will focus on clean tech start-ups, clean tech needs and applications, hydrogen technologies as well as demo cases and systems.
You will meet a group of participants with high and diverse expertise from science and industry, get to know interesting partners on the topic of hydrogen along the value chain of electrolyzers (stacks and components such as MEA/CCM). Furthermore, innovative start-ups will present their technological finesse.
The exchange on demonstration projects in the Rhine-Neckar metropolitan region and with political and social stakeholders is guaranteed!

Prof. Dr. Hofmann heads the Surface Research department and is coordinator of the new Energy + Environment Graduate School at TU Darmstadt. His group conducts research on materials and construction elements for the conversion and storage of renewable energies with a focus on surface and interface effects, their characterization and control. The team is involved in several consortia for the production of green hydrogen through electrolysis. In addition to hydrogen technologies, the group is actively researching interfacial issues in batteries and solar cells.

Dr. Oscar Diaz-Morales leads the electrolysis team at the Host Centre, developing state-of-the-art hydrogen electrolysers to minimize the use of rare materials and reduce space requirements. He has conducted research on iridium-based catalysts for the oxygen evolution reaction at Leiden University and subsequently worked in academia and industry on electrolysis, CO2 and biomass utilization. His research also includes the use of operando spectroscopy in electrocatalysis.
