Over 1000m²
Cleanroom Area
With a total area of over 1,000m², our cleanrooms represent the largest contiguous laboratory complex at the Heidelberg site. Since their establishment in 2010, we have continuously invested in the expansion and modernization of our cleanrooms.
Our Cleanroom Quality
... for sophisticated processes
Our ISO Class 7 cleanrooms provide an outstanding environment for demanding processes where minimal particle contamination is critical. Whether in electronics manufacturing, biotechnology, or other high-precision industries, our cleanrooms offer optimal conditions for production and quality assurance.
Temperature: 23 °C, Tolerance: +/- 3 Kelvin
Humidity: 50 % relative humidity, Tolerance: +5/-10 %
ISO Class 7 Cleanrooms
Our cleanrooms comply with Class 7. According to DIN EN ISO 14644-1, the following permissible particle concentration per m³ must not be exceeded:
Particle size ≥ 0.5 µm 3,520,000 particles
Particle size ≥ 1.0 µm 832,000 particles
Particle size ≥ 5.0 µm 29,300 particles
ISO Class 5 Yellow Room
Among other facilities, our cleanrooms include a 37m² yellow room, which is classified as ISO 5.
Particle size ≥ 0.1 µm 100,000 particles
Particle size ≥ 0.2 µm 23,700 particles
Particle size ≥ 0.3 µm 10,200 particles
Particle size ≥ 0.5 µm 3,520 particles
Particle size ≥ 1.0 µm 832 particles
Particle size ≥ 5.0 µm 0 particles
Key Information
on ISO Classification
Cleanroom classes are defined in DIN EN ISO 14644‒1. This standard classifies the cleanliness level of rooms based on their airborne particulate count (maximum particle concentration per m³). The classification ranges from ISO 1 to 9. A Class 1 cleanroom represents the “purest” class, while a Class 9 cleanroom achieves the lowest level of cleanliness.
New in our cleanrooms:
Quantum X | nano scribe
Quantum X is a maskless lithography system developed for rapid prototyping and mastering in industrial manufacturing and replication processes. It utilizes Two-Photon Grayscale Lithography (2GL®) for fast and precise surface structuring. Supporting single and multi-layers, each with 4,000 grayscale levels, it enables the fabrication of freeform micro-optics, microlens arrays, and multi-level diffractive optical elements. Its printing capability extends from the nanoscale, with feature sizes down to 100 nanometers, through the micro-range, with typical dimensions of 50 to 700 micrometers, and up to mesoscale printing with dimensions of up to 25 cm.
What Our Customers Say
VERAXA Biotech GmbH
"We came here because we were looking for a platform where we could develop microfluidic technologies. Microfluidics plays a crucial role at VERAXA, but it has the disadvantage of requiring a significant amount of equipment and machinery. For example, a cleanroom is necessary, but unfortunately, acquiring such a cleanroom involves extreme costs that we, as a small start-up, simply cannot bear. That is why we became aware of InnovationLab, which has a cleanroom and also offers precisely the equipment we need for our work."
Beyond utilizing the cleanroom, we particularly benefit from the exchange with other individuals, some of whom work in entirely different fields. As a young start-up, we are naturally always interested in further developing our technology, and significant input for our new technology also originates from InnovationLab."
